Prior to joining Mudlark in 2015, Liz served as the Executive Director and Program Director of the Justin Wynn Fund, a community service organization in Evanston. Before joining the JWF, Elizabeth worked for Giving Tree Associates where she assisted nonprofit organizations by researching, writing and implementing development strategies. Liz is also deeply involved in the nonprofit world in Evanston. She recently joined the Board of Directors of the Youth Job Center and graduated from the Evanston Community Foundation's leadership program, Leadership Evanston XXIV. For six years, she served on the board of Foundation 65, a nonprofit organization that supports activities and encourages excellence in education through innovation, literacy initiatives, and partnerships in the District 65 schools in Evanston and Skokie. Before most of the Mudlark staff were born, Liz graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, with a degree in English Literature and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she earned a Master of Science in Education and Social Policy. She was a faculty member of the English Department at New Trier High School from 1997-2006. Liz lives in Evanston with her husband, their two children, and their children’s two dogs.
