What is mudlark’s scholarship policy?

Unconditional scholarships are available for all Mudlark programs. No young artist is ever turned away from a program for financial reasons. We will never ask you why you are requesting a scholarship, or to prove the need for one.

How do i request a scholarship?

If registering for a mudlark HQ program…

Scholarship registration through our registration system is very simple! In each program event on our website, you will see two registration button selections - REGISTRATION HERE and SCHOLARSHIP REGISTRATION HERE. Select SCHOLARSHIP REGISTRATION HERE to be taken to the scholarship registration page.

After completing all other relevant information about your family and young artist you are registering, you will see the following question for you to select your scholarship amount. In each program it will be listed as “Program Name - % Scholarship - $XX.00” - below the example you see is for a Sketch Comedy class.

This is where you will select your scholarship price. In the text box you have an opportunity to leave any comments or thoughts on your experience with Mudlark (in any capacity). That box is completely optional, it is not a place for you to explain why you are selecting a scholarship, just an opportunity to convey to us any thoughts you have about Mudlark as we try to open more channels of feedback from our community members.

Below that you’ll see the list of scholarship levels. It begins at the full class price, and then each subsequent option is a scholarship level. When you select a level (ex. “Sketch Comedy - 25% Scholarship - $122.00”) the scholarship percentage reflects the amount off the full cost of the class you are selecting, and the dollar amount reflects the total amount you will pay.

If registering for an After School Class at your school…

Scholarship methods vary depending on the registration system your school uses. You may need to request a scholarship from Right At School, your PTA, or your school administration.

However, the most important thing is that Mudlark’s unconditional scholarship policy remains true for all programming, including classes at your school. If you are unsure of how to request a scholarship at your school, or your school is denying you access to a scholarship, please email education@mudlarktheater.org and we will take care of it for you.
